NE-YO
Before tackling this course, you should be comfortable with all the material from Closer

This track has a really cool guitar part, that sounds awesome on an acoustic guitar. Simone will show you a fantastic arrangement of the song, so that you can get the most out of it with an acoustic guitar (using capo on the 2nd fret).

Chords: Four Chords

Below you will find the four chords that you will need for the track. Please remember that in the video Simone refers to each chord based on the capo position. This means where he says A, that is A based on the fact that the capo is 2nd fret, and therefore in relation to that fret. In actual fact, the tonality of the chord is B. For the chord diagrams below, we use the actual tonality of the chord as we can't picture the capo.

Chords: Beginner version

If you would prefer a simpler version, whilst still challening yourself with some of the barre chord shapes, here are the chords Simone uses. The capo is still on the 2nd fret.

    Keep Learning: Barre Chords

Many thanks for watching this video and visiting the website. If you love this tune, but find some of the chords quite hard to follow, check out our barre chord course right here on our website. This will help you learn these difficult shapes, and really help strengthen your fretting hand, ready for more difficult chords. We also learn the theory behind the chords and apply them to some great tunes! You can check it out here: Barre Chords Guitar Course.
