Learning how to play funk guitar is a fine art, but this little James Brown-inspired groove will get you started! The chord is a Bm7 played with the root note on the E string. We hit the root note on the 1st beat of the bar and the high end of the chord on the 2nd beat. Then we add the third finger to the 9th feet high E for a Bm9 chord which we hit on the 3rd beat of the bar. Finally, to finish we return to the Bm7 for the 4th beat of the bar. Repeat for the whole tune!
