A massive Your Guitar Academy welcome to our newest tutor in London, Gero. Gero teaches from his awesome home studio in Streatham, South London. Gero is one of the best guitar players we have ever met, if not the best... And we have met a lot of guitarists! He's also extremely welcoming and a wonderful guitar tutor, with the ability to easily pass on his vast guitar knowledge.
Gero is a professional guitarist and guitar teacher holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Jazz/Pop Guitar. With more than 10 years of experience as a guitar tutor both at music schools and privately, Gero is equipped to teach a wide range of musical styles to students of all age groups and skill levels. Gero is a truly enthusiastic and invested teacher and place high importance on adapting his lessons to the individual needs of every student in order for them to reach and exceed their musical goals.
Gero regularly conducts music workshops both in the UK and in Germany to students of all qualifications. Gero also works actively as a musician and frequently perform internationally with his own projects and as a sideman. As a studio guitarist he has worked on a variety of musical projects, including the double platinum #1 UK Hit Single “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur.
Gero teaches from his home music studio in Rosedene Avenue, London, SW16 2LT. His home guitar studio is a fantastic environment to learn guitar in, as it includes many guitars, amps and recording gear to ensure you get the most from your lessons. The home studio is located just a short walk from Streatham Hill Station or Tulse Hill Station. If you are driving then there is free on-street parking any time of the day, and if you are arriving by bus the 417 or N137 will get you to the bottom of Rosedene Avenue.
