Please join us in welcoming Connor to our fantastic team of tutors in London. Connor is easily one of the best guitar players we have ever met, and his teaching skill matches his playing. He is just as comfortable walking advanced players through epic Dream Theater songs as he is teaching an absolute beginner the first few notes of the James Bond theme! please read on to find out all about Connor!
As a player, Connor has toured the UK with Progressive Rock/Metal band Vrona, whilst sessioning for various artists. He's also played some of the UK's major festivals, including Bloodstock Open Air, and Mammothfest. Connor has been lucky enough to share the stage with the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Famous YouTuber Rob Chapman and his band Dorje, Voices From The Fuselage (Featuring ex TesseracT Singer Ashe O'Hara) and many others. Connor regularly fills in for some of the UK's top Live Music Entertainment Agency's Function Bands, covering for absent musicians at corporate events/ weddings etc. On top of all this, he has played in several Pit Bands in Musical theatre performing in productions such as 'LittleShop of Horrors' (The Copthorne Players 2017) and 'Snow White' (The London Pantomimers2016) covering Bass and Guitars respectively.
Connor teaching from his amazingly cool studio on Raleigh Road in Feltham, TW13 4LE. The studio is purposely built for guitar playing and guitar teaching and includes all the amps, guitars and tech you could ever need! It is quite simply a great place to learn guitar! If you are driving there is free parking directly outside the studio, day or night. For those of you using public transport, the closest train station is Feltham, and you have just a 10-minute walk to the studio. If you are coming by bus, the H26 will get you all the way to the bottom of Raleigh road.
Connor's teaching skill comes from a combination of his enthusiastic, easy to chat to, character as well as his deep understanding of the guitar. He is easily one of the most proficient players at Your Guitar Academy and his depth of knowledge on the instrument seems to be endless! However, Connor is just as at home teaching total beginner players as he is advanced players. In fact, most of his students come to him having never picked up a guitar and quickly learn to play full songs!
